Research and conduct pre-interviews for celebrity guests to help develop the theme for each episode. Associate Producer - E! Live Events (Den of Thieves)

Assisted in the development, research, and writing for E!’s Live Countdown shows. Developed and executed proper workflow and organization for team efficiency. Taught and informed the production team about the processes of sourcing, asset organization, and legal clearances. Worked between various teams in order to manage multiple projects and stay on schedule. Worked closely with the AE and Post-Producer to ensure all assets and packages were cleared and approved. Managed and tracked the budget, external sources, and wrap documents. Managed and prepped show guests and talent for live segment hits.

Developed, created, and pitched franchises, themes, field shoots, games, discussion topics, and topical stories, both individually and in a team. Researched the themes, guests, and topical stories for the weekly show taping. Engaged with team and talent on weekly calls and meetings to determine priorities, ideas, and guests. Worked closely with producers, editors, and legal to assist in research, assets, and pre-interviews. Designed and executed all of the graphics for unique segments and games both on set and in the field. Assisted and took detailed notes on set of the weekly podcast taping and the various field shoots in pre-production.

 

Associate Producer - E! Live Events (Wilshire Studios/NBCUniversal)

September 2017 - June 2018

In less than one year with E!'s Live Events production team, I was promoted to an Associate Producer position. Duties included conceptualizing and pitching segment ideas for E!'s Live Countdown shows and producing and editing short bumps for each show. I managed a team of Production Assistants and worked alongside Segment Producers and Editors to find and create BROLL footage. Worked closely with producers, editors, creative teams and legal departments to assist in the full scope of production. I oversaw the production of lower third graphics for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards and 2018 NBC Universal Spring Upfront Presentation and oversaw the creation of research cards for the 75th Golden Globe Awards and 2018 MET Gala.

Produced storylines and gathered information for an E! Royal Wedding Special in the months leading up to the 2018 Royal Wedding. This special looked at the lives of Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle and their evolution both personally and within their fashion. I researched and assisted on interviews with a handful of experts and pulled archived footage and stills for the show. Continued to assist in post-production of the E! Special while preparing for the 2018 MET Gala.

With E!'s Live Events production team, I conceptualized and pitched various pre-recorded package or live segment ideas for E!'s Live Countdown shows as well as logged and located previous footage to be used in new segments. For each award show, I assisted talent and field producers during the live Countdown and Red Carpet shows. I created research cards and documents along with writers and researchers for E! talent to use during the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.

I researched top looks, pitched storylines, and located images for use within the show. Assisted in interview shoots with multiple experts and in post-production of the episodes.

Digital Media and Marketing Intern - Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital, LLC

September 2016 - December 2016

In the Fall of 2016, I interned at Bellwether Enterprise in their Irvine, CA office working with the marketing team on a variety of projects. I filmed and edited internal and external PR videos for the company as well as worked with the creative team on the creation of various materials. I wrote, shot, and edited small vignettes on their theme for the year—“Trust”—as well as recruitment content to take to universities nationwide. This internship allowed me to have great experiences and creative control in my work as I can planned and produced so many interviews and videos. It gave me the opportunity to improve my skills with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, and InDesign.

 

Student Producer and Director - City of Orange PEG Channels

February 2014 - December 2016

Throughout my three and a half years at Chapman, I was the student producer and director for the City of Orange PEG channels. This position allowed me to learn various technical aspects of a live program as I directed the City of Orange City Council and Planning Commission meetings for the viewers at home. I also coordinated teams to film various events in the city to be edited and replayed on the PEG channels as well as use Photoshop and Compix to keep the city bulletin up to date. This position taught me so much and I am very thankful to have been given this opportunity as a freshman. I am grateful that I was able to coordinate, produce, and edit so many events as well as teach new student-employees.

 

Chapman News

August 2014 - December 2016

I was enrolled in Chapman News beginning my sophomore year but was active as a freshman as well. Chapman News is a weekly live broadcast where I researched, wrote, shot, and edited news packages and VO readers for the show as well as learned various technical jobs each week. Through Chapman News, I was able to hone my skills on sports, weather, and entertainment reporting as well as anchor and go out on live shots. Since staying up to date on current events for weekly class discussion was required, I started the Chapman News Tip Line and was the Tip Line producer for my final two semesters. In today's market, being a well-rounded Multi-Media Journalist is important and I am happy to have gained so many relevant skills from Chapman News.


Inside OC with Rick Reiff Intern - KOCE-TV PBS SoCal

June - October 2016

From June to October 2016, I had the opportunity to intern at Inside OC with Rick Reiff, a weekly show that is aired on PBS stations across the country. In this position, I shadowed the technical director and producer and held various positions within the show. Each week featured multiple studio guests from Orange County Supervisors, local developers, 2016 Presidential candidate Gary Johnson, and current California Governor Gavin Newsom.

 

Orange County Event Representative and Manager - The Perfect Event, Inc.

January 2015 - July 2016

As a sophomore, I assisted in the growth of the Orange County office of The Perfect Event's collegiate events division. As a representative, I contacted and conducted meetings with various organizations at local colleges and universities as well as local venues in order to expand partnerships and grow the brand. I was also involved in the planning of many of these events which allowed me to see all aspects that create it including location, budget, and security and transportation logistics. Through this job, I was able to learn skills that I can apply as a Producer and Production Coordinator. The Perfect Event also knew that my passion lies in film and reporting and were been very supportive in all of my endeavors, allowing me to film and edit short videos for the company.

 

KABC- TV General News Intern - The Walt Disney Company

September - December 2015

During the Fall 2015 semester, I was a General News Intern at KABC-TV, the Los Angeles local affiliate of ABC News. Each morning of my internship I participated in the discussions and planning of the content and layout for the evening newscasts. I sat and shadowed every position within the studio including writers, reporters, and editors to witness the production of a live newscast from beginning to end. I assisted in time-logging music from past shows and was able to spend a lot of time at the Assignment Desk where I answered calls and emails as well as researched for stories. During this semester, I learned a tremendous amount every second as many local and national news stories unfolded including the San Bernardino shooting. Meeting and watching the reporters at ABC7 was also a great experience for me since I have admired them and their work since I was a little girl.


APTRA Reporting Academy 2014

At the 2014 APTRA Reporting Academy, headed by broadcaster Hal Eisner, I worked with a small team to create a package covering a staged developing news story that featured public information officers, news conferences, and professional actors. This experience was amazing as I was given the opportunity to learn from reporters from various stations and markets for a hands-on experience. What I learned in those few days has stuck with me and I am very grateful for the experience.
